“We never use our formal dining room!” Sound familiar? Like many parties, everyone gathered in the kitchen, and this kitchen wasn’t big enough. So, we removed the wall between the kitchen and formal dining room to open it up into a larger space. This gave us the opportunity to build a massive island with seating for 6, much more cabinetry for storage, and a custom built-in coffee station. The combination of cherrywood and light painted cabinetry, along with hand-hewn wood floors, now provides for an inviting space where the entire family and extended family can gather.
